The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) has called to take place tomorrow morning, Tuesday, in the vigil in front of the German representative to release the BDS activist, Mahmoud Al-Nawajaa.

The vigil aims at demanding Germany, the rotating president of the European Union, to take action and pressure "Israel" for the immediate release of the Palestinian human rights defender and the general coordinator of the BNC, Mahmoud Al-Nawajaa, from the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.

Al-Nawajaa is detained by the Israeli forces due to his political and human rights activities.

From the moment of his detention, Al-Nawajaa has been deprived of seeing his lawyer. The military court extended his detention on August 2, at the request of the Israeli intelligence service, "Shin Bet", based on a secret file that was not allowed for Al-Nawajah or his lawyer, appointed by Addameer Association, to see it.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli forces detained Al-Nawajah on July 30, 2020, as dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed his house and took him, handcuffed and blindfolded, away from his wife and three children.
