Calls for International intervention to stop the Sheikh Jarrah massacre

The Islamic Christian Authority for Supporting Jerusalem and Islamic places called on the international commissions and organizations, and the League of Arab states to step in and force the Israeli government to stop the massacre it intends to commit against the families of Sheikh Jarrah in occupied Jerusalem.

Secretary-General of the Islamic Christian Authority, Hanna Issa, warned of the risks of this step targeting more than 500 citizens who live in 28 houses, threatened to be evacuated for the sake of settlers and settlement associations.

Hanna Issa called for rapid humanitarian and legal intervention in the wake of the several decisions issued by Israeli courts to evacuate dozens of Palestinians from their houses in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan.

He confirmed that this convention must turn into a real movement, and international organizations and institutions must practice their normal role due to humanitarian international law.

Issa stressed that Israel's targetings, demolishing Palestinians' homes, imposing fines, and excavation works are kinds of violations of international humanitarian law.
