Israeli forces on Tuesday arrested the leader in Hamas, Hasan al-Wardian, 67, who is one of the candidates for the Jerusalem Our Destination list for the legislative elections in Bethlehem, in the south of the West Bank.
local sources reported that the Israeli forces arrested al-Wardian after storming his house in Bethlehem and tampering with its contents.
Al-Wardian spent more than 10 years in the Israeli prisons.
It is noteworthy that Israel continues to arrest leaders and cadres of Hamas, in light of preparations for elections and efforts to achieve reconciliation and national unity.
