Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh said on Monday that the government will provide all the requirements for conducting the legislative elections easily.
Shtayyeh explained, at the beginning of the weekly session of the Council of Ministers, that the government will provide everything possible for the success of the elections, so that 25 thousand academic and administrative cadres in the West Bank, Gaza, and Jerusalem will be prepared to supervise the electoral process.
He affirmed that the government will continue to work with international partners to pressure Israel to prevent it from taking any measures that would put obstacles in the way of holding elections, by arresting candidates and breaking up election rallies in Jerusalem to prevent the people from participating in the elections as both candidates and elections.
Shtayyeh called on international bodies to send delegates to monitor the elections, which will take place in climates of freedom, democracy, and political pluralism.
He pointed out that the police have a ready plan to protect the public order and the electoral process.
"Shtayyeh condemned the occupation’s targeting of the child Ezz El-Din Al-Batsh in Hebron, saying: "We will raise this crime to ICC.”
Besides, he announced the entry of stranded mail from Jordan in 2018 to the Palestinian territories due to the prevention of Israel.
