Electoral candidate: Israel’s obstacles should not be excuse to postpone elections


The candidate for Jerusalem Our Destination list, Leader Yasser Al-Badrasawi, said that Israel’s obstacles to holding the elections should not be used as a pretext for postponing or canceling them.

Al-Badrasawi called for the necessity of working to confront Israel with more steadfastness, unity, and cohesion to prevent its agenda from being passed on.

He stressed that elections are the right of every Palestinian aspiring to establish an integrated Palestinian legal system, through free and fair elections that represent all Palestinians with all their institutions and stages.

Besides, he confirmed that elections in Jerusalem are a right for Jerusalemites, and it is a constant thing that cannot be subjected to the Israeli will and no person has the right to stand in front of the rights of Jerusalemites to participate in the elections.

"Jerusalem was and will remain the eternal capital of Palestine, and no one has the right to remove this city from its Palestinian entity," said Yasser.

Al-Badrasawi pointed out that holding the elections in Jerusalem represents a battle in which we resist Israel to approve the elections in it, calling for the need to work hard so that the Palestinians' compass is directed towards Jerusalem.

He added, "When we said" Jerusalem Our Destination, "the aim was to have Jerusalem at the forefront.
