Head of Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, said that his movement will continue its efforts in order to achieve national unity on the basis of resistance and national political partnership.
During a meeting that included dozens of politicians, Palestinian and Lebanese labor factions, scholars, and media figures in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, Haniyeh stressed the continuation of the Palestinian resistance in the project of preparing for the upcoming liberation battle, stressing his movement's adherence to this authentic national approach until comprehensive liberation.
Hamas chief stressed the right of the Palestinian resistance to develop itself, its equipment, and its weapons by all means and methods. He said: "It is the right for the Palestinian resistance that dug into the rocks and toured the depths of the sea to develop itself and its equipment in preparation for the upcoming battle. I say to our Palestinian people, and the free people of our Arab and Islamic nation, have confidence in this resistance that answered the call of the Jerusalemites and the worshipers of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as we have a high degree of responsibility to protect our Palestinian people".
The Palestinian leader affirmed his movement's openness to all components of the nation and the free people of the world in service of the Palestinian cause, reiterating his movement's refusal to recognize the Israeli occupation and its legitimacy in the land of Palestine.
Haniyeh concluded his speech by emphasizing the need to collectively support the steadfastness and struggle of the Palestinian people at home and abroad, and the need to empower them with all available means and methods until their return and liberation.
