Thousands of worshipers performed Friday prayers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the Israeli restrictions imposed at the gates and entrances of the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

The Department of Islamic Endowments reported that 50,000 worshipers performed the prayers today in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces prevented hundreds of citizens from the West Bank from entering Jerusalem to perform Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation forces also arrested today's morning a child and a young man and tightened their military measures in Jerusalem.
