Bahraini delegation heads to Tel Aviv

Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday that an official delegation headed by Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al-Zayani will travel to Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

The ministry said on its website that the visit aims to held talks on areas of cooperation between the two countries in light of the declaration of support for peace and the principles of Ibrahim.

"The visit comes to affirm the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm support of the peace process in the Middle East region, highlighting economic opportunities and agreements with the State of Israel, and endeavors towards achieving common interests in various fields," the Ministry added.

Bahrain signed the normalization deal with Israel last September.

However, Bahrainis rejected the normalization deal, and many cities demonstrated against it.
