Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian hailed the resilience of the Palestinian people, stating that their steadfast resistance has shattered the illusion of global powers' supremacy. During a meeting with Ziyad al-Nakhalah, leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, in Tehran on Wednesday, Pezeshkian praised the Palestinian struggle that has endured for over 15 months.

He congratulated Palestinian resistance groups on what he described as their victory over the Israeli enemy and extended his condolences for the heavy toll, including the loss of civilians, commanders, and fighters. He emphasised that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people have exposed the true nature of Israel and its allies, whose crimes will forever stain their legacy. He also warned against efforts to sow division among Muslim nations, urging unity to counter external threats.

Reaffirming Iran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their resistance, Pezeshkian called on all Muslim states to stand together and assist Palestinians in rebuilding Gaza. He stressed the necessity of collective efforts to counter Israeli aggression and ensure Palestinian resilience.

For his part, al-Nakhalah expressed gratitude for Iran’s continuous support and commended the bravery of Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon. He warned against Israel’s attempts to secure political gains despite its failures on the battlefield in Gaza, urging constant vigilance in the face of ongoing threats.
