Occupation Prevents Wife of Prisoner Nael Barghouti from Travelling to Greet Him

The Israeli occupation has prevented the wife of Palestinian prisoner Nael Barghouti, known as the "Dean of Prisoners," from travelling to Jordan and then to Egypt to greet him upon his release and deportation tomorrow, Saturday.

Iman Nafi, the wife of Barghouti, stated in media remarks on Friday that the occupation authorities stopped her from travelling as she attempted to head to Egypt via Jordan to welcome her husband, who is set to be released on Saturday as part of the "Flood of the Free" deal.

Nafi explained that the Israeli occupation deliberately seeks to spoil the joy of Palestinian prisoners and their families, adding that, as of now, she has not been permitted to travel to meet him. She expressed hope that arrangements would be made soon to allow her to do so.
