The Palestinian resistance, led by Al-Qassam Brigades, has released six Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross in Rafah, southern Gaza, as part of the seventh batch of the prisoner exchange deal. In return, the Israeli occupation is set to release 602 Palestinian prisoners from its jails. Among them are 50 detainees serving life sentences, 60 with long-term sentences, and 47 former prisoners who were freed in the 2011 “Gilad Shalit” exchange but later re-arrested by Israeli forces.

Additionally, 445 prisoners from Gaza, who were taken captive after 7 October, are expected to be released. According to local reports, the exchange took place in Rafah’s Al-Mashroa Square and in Nuseirat, where Al-Qassam Brigades displayed weapons seized during battles with the occupation forces. The ceremony featured banners and images of Palestinian resistance leaders who were martyred in the ongoing aggression against Gaza.
