After three suffering years behind bars, Israel releases two injured children

Israeli authorities Sunday have released the two detained children, Ahmed Saeed Zakzouq (17) and Muhammad Farhan Fares Abu Maryam (17) from the village of Al-Jadida, south of Jenin, in the West Bank, after they had spent three years in the Israeli prisons.

“The Israeli forces arrested the two children, Abu Maryam and Zakzouq,when they were 14 years old after shooting them near Za'tara military checkpoint, south of Nablus. Recently, they were released from Megiddo prison,” the director of Al-Asir club said.

Abu Zaqzouq was hit with a live bullet in his knee, while Abu Mariam was wounded in his thigh, before they were arrested and transferred to Ramla Prison Hospital, where they stayed for two months, and then they were transferred to Ofer prison, and then to Megiddo.

The two children were arrested in Ofer prison then in Megiddo prison after they spent two months in Hospital of Ramla prison, as a result of hitting Abu Zaqzouq with a live bullet in his knee, while wounding Abu-Maryam in his thigh.
