Mauritanian Activists Join International March from Tunisia to Gaza in Solidarity Effort

Mauritanian activists have joined an international solidarity march that began in Tunisia and is heading toward the besieged Gaza Strip, in a powerful display of unity against the Israeli blockade and aggression. The march, organised by a coalition of pro-Palestine groups, seeks to break the years-long siege and deliver a message of unwavering support to the Palestinian people.

Participants affirmed that their presence represents the collective voice of the Mauritanian people, who have long stood in solidarity with Gaza, and their firm rejection of the ongoing Israeli assault and blockade, which continues to strangle the lives of more than two million Palestinians.

According to the organisers, this participation followed extensive coordination among civil society organisations, activists, and public figures in Mauritania who believe that African and Arab solidarity must not remain symbolic, but take visible and courageous forms.

The march is expected to pass through several Arab and African nations, carrying messages of peace, justice, and human dignity. At each stop, it seeks to build momentum for international pressure to end the blockade and address the deepening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

As Israeli airstrikes and restrictions on aid persist, and while the world’s response remains largely muted, initiatives like this march stand as reminders that people across continents continue to raise their voices for Palestinian freedom, where governments have failed, peoples are rising.
