Mushahid Hussain, the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, affirmed his country's position of rejection of normalization with the Israel, and the strong commitment of the Pakistani parliament to support the Palestinian issue.
Hussein added, during his speech at a symposium organized by Parliamentarians for Jerusalem in cooperation with the Pakistani Senate Foreign Relations Committee, entitled "Countries Experiences in Supporting the Palestinian issue", that US President Donald Trump took wrong decisions against Palestine that need to be corrected, on top of which is the relocation of the American embassy to Jerusalem once again, stressing his country's condemnation of all Israeli measures against the Palestinians.
He highlighted that there is a Pakistani popular support to the Palestinian issue, pointing out that Islamabad has agreed with the Arab League since its establishment in pursuit of an independent Palestinian state.
“The unjust Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip contributed to the increase in the Coronavirus pandemic and the deterioration of the health and humanitarian situation, calling for action to help the Gaza Strip, pressure Israel to lift the siege, and allow the entry of medical supplies,” Hussein stated.
