Gaza left in Darkness as Israel Destroys last Communication Link

Gaza has been severed from the world after Israeli forces destroyed the final functioning fibre optic line, plunging the besieged enclave into a total communications blackout. The Palestinian Telecommunications Ministry accused Israel of deliberately cutting off Gaza to hide its ongoing assault from global scrutiny.

With internet and phone lines completely severed, Palestinians are unable to call for emergency medical help, reach loved ones, or document the relentless attacks. Telecommunications officials say Israel has systematically targeted infrastructure, sabotaging repeated attempts to restore even minimal connectivity.

The blackout deepens the isolation of Gaza’s 2.3 million people, already enduring what the International Court of Justice describes as a plausible genocide. Over 55,100 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed since October 2023.

Palestinian authorities condemn the shutdown as collective punishment, aimed at silencing witnesses to Israel’s atrocities. As the world’s attention wavers, Gaza remains trapped in darkness, unheard, unseen, and cut off from justice.
