The Ministry of Health in Gaza has raised alarm over Israeli military efforts to force evacuation around the Nasser Medical Complex, the sole hospital in southern Gaza offering vital specialised care including dialysis and neonatal services.

Official reports confirm that Israeli occupation forces have issued evacuation notices to residents near the hospital, creating widespread panic and forcing civilians to flee. The Ministry accuses the military of deliberately targeting residential areas surrounding the hospital to cripple its operation.

Having already devastated healthcare infrastructure in northern Gaza, the Israeli campaign now threatens to dismantle medical services in the south, risking a humanitarian disaster with hundreds of patients facing death if the hospital closes.

An urgent call has been made to international actors to intervene immediately and safeguard Gaza’s healthcare facilities, ensuring essential medical care can continue amid ongoing aggression.
