Tens of thousands flooded the streets around the University of Tehran on Friday, marking the so-called “Friday of Anger and Victory” with fervent chants denouncing Israeli attacks on Gaza and expressing unwavering support for Iran’s leadership and military.
The demonstration, drawing participants from across the capital, reflected widespread outrage over Israel’s continued assault, which has left tens of thousands of Palestinians, many of them women and children, dead or wounded.
Protesters raised voices in solidarity with Palestinians under siege, condemning what they called crimes committed by Israel in Gaza. Slogans echoed through the crowd, condemning foreign interference and calling for justice for the victims of the war.
As regional tensions escalate, the rally underscored Iran’s positioning as a vocal backer of the Palestinian cause, while highlighting growing public anger over the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza.
