66 Children Starve to Death in Gaza as Blockade Chokes Aid Access

At least 66 Palestinian children have died of hunger in Gaza, the Government Media Office confirmed on Saturday, as Israel’s ongoing blockade and closure of border crossings continue to cut off life-saving supplies, including baby formula and nutritional aid.

In a strongly worded statement, officials in Gaza accused Israel of systematically using starvation as a weapon of war, a policy they say amounts to a war crime and a deliberate act of genocide. They also placed responsibility on the governments of the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany for their continued support of Israel's military campaign and blockade policy.

While famine spreads, international silence persists. “This is not just a humanitarian failure, it is complicity,” the statement read.

The World Health Organization warned that an average of 112 children are being hospitalised daily due to malnutrition. WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus described the crisis as having “surpassed catastrophic levels,” underscoring the collapse of Gaza’s health and humanitarian systems.

Over two million Palestinians now face starvation, disease, and death, cut off from the world, while food and medicine wait on the other side of sealed borders. For Gaza’s children, the cost of international inaction is counted in small graves.
