Israel Squeezes 2.5 Million Gazans into 8% of the Strip as Genocide Intensifies

The Israeli occupation has forced nearly 2.5 million Palestinians into less than 8% of the Gaza Strip, turning the territory into a suffocating prison under the sky, according to Dr. Mohammed Al-Mughair, Director of the Supply Department in Gaza’s Civil Defense Authority.

In a press statement, Al-Mughair revealed that Palestinians are now crammed into small, overcrowded pockets in western Gaza City and Khan Yunis, areas that remain under relentless bombardment and are far from safe. These zones are being pounded by continuous aerial attacks, while access to food, clean water, and medical care has been entirely cut off, creating what he described as “catastrophic humanitarian and environmental conditions.”

He further warned that the forced evacuation of Deir al-Balah’s southern region is shrinking the remaining humanitarian space, pushing hundreds of thousands of displaced civilians into already overwhelmed and devastated areas. “There is no safety left in Gaza,” Al-Mughair stated, adding that the Israeli occupation is now targeting every inch of the territory.

“This is not a war, it’s an eradication of life,” he said, describing the current stage of aggression as the most dangerous yet. Under the guise of so-called “safe corridors” and “buffer zones,” Israel is executing a brutal strategy of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing.

Palestinians in Gaza are calling on the international community to recognise this for what it is: a deliberate, calculated genocide unfolding in real time, as the world looks on in silence.
