Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kila, confirmed that the Ministry of Health seeks to develop the family medicine program and the other training programs in the medical and health field in Palestine.
This came in a meeting between it and the Secretary-General of the Medical Council, Dean of the Medical School in Al-Najah university, Director-General of Health Care, and Director-General of Scientific Research of the Ministry.
Al-Najah university and the Ministry of Health contributes to the family medicine program.
The participants of the meeting presented what has been achieved in the meeting till now in which 28 doctors joined the Ministry of Health.
Al-Kila provided her recommendations towards reviewing the training programs in Palestine in order to develop the academic level throughout involving the universities in the different training programs.
It continued, “the training modules of the family medicine program will be revised by the Ministry of Health and Al-Najah University in order to develop the program in proportion to the needs of Palestine this year.
Al-Kila reviewed the plan put by the Ministry to start giving a diploma in the family medicine for those who desire.
It will continue for a year supervised by World Health Organization and will be recognized th as a part of the training program this year.
