Israel releases a prisoner diagnosed with leukemia

Israeli occupation authorities issued a decision to release the prisoner Hussain Masalma, who is sick with cancer, no later than tomorrow.

Palestinian Prisoner's Club stated that the arrangements of releasing him, or keeping him in the hospital depend on his medical status.

Masalma has been facing medical ignorance by the administration of the Israeli prisons since last December, before he was diagnosed with cancer.

He suffered for two months before being moved to hospital where he was diagnosed with leukemia.

Masalma, who is now in Soroka hospital, has been detained in the Israeli prisons since 2002, and sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment.
