Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission stated, on Tuesday, that the medical status of the prisoner Ehab Al-Jahjouh, 33, from Hebron, has been deteriorating as a result of the harsh conditions of detention inside the Israeli prisons.
Al-Jahjouh has lately started to suffer from cancer in the flank. Since being arrested in 2014, he has been suffering from severe pains in the neck and pack as a result of the severe beating he faced for two months.
Al-Jahjouh family called on all those concerned to step in and force the administration of Israeli prisons to provide him with medicine and to follow up with his medical status.
Prisoner Ehab, who is married and has two children, is sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment, according to the commission.
During the past year, the number of sick prisoners reached 700, including 300 prisoners with chronic diseases.
Those prisoners face miserable conditions of detention. Most notably, the policy of medical negligence (slow kill) which contributed to recording more medical conditions and deaths.
Despite the coronavirus spread, the Israeli occupation authorities continued to arrest the Palestinians every day, in which the number of Palestinian citizens who were arrested since the outbreak until the past January is more than 4000, including elderly people, children and women.
