Israeli occupation forces today cracked down a solidarity rally in Ayn al-Bayda, southeast of Yatta city in southern Hebron, according to local sources.
The local sources reported that dozens of Palestinians performed the weekly Friday prayer at the site of Ayn al-Bayda, nestled between the Israeli settlements of Ma‘on and Karmiel, in solidarity with the landowners whose land is at the risk of Israeli confiscation.
The participants, including a number of international solidarity and peace activists, raised the Palestinian flag and shouted slogans condemning settlement expansion.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers raided the site and assaulted the participants as a means to disperse them.
For his part, the Coordinator of the Popular Committees to Resistance the Wall and Settlements in East Yatta and South Hebron, Ratib Jbour, called on the international community and human rights organizations to immediately intervene to stop the policy of ethnic cleansing that the occupation is pursuing against the citizens in Masafer Yatta, in favor of expanding its settlements.
