Settlers vandalize olive trees in Nablus

Settlers cut down on Friday dozens of olive trees in the village of Al-Sawiya, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

The head of Al-Sawiya Village Council, Murad Abu Ras, said in a statement that the people of the village found in the morning that dozens of olive trees had been chopped down by settlers in the areas near the settlement of "Rahalim".

He pointed out that since 2016, these areas have witnessed repeated attacks by settlers, and ongoing cutting of olive trees, some of which are hundreds of years old.
