Israel renews administrative arrest for prisoner from Jenin for third time

Salem Military Court renewed the administrative detention order of the ex-prisoner, Fathi al-Atoum, from Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, for months; for the third time in a row.

Asra Media Office stated that the Israeli forces re-arrested the ex-prisoner Al-Atoum on June 2, 2020, after storming and searching his house and destroying its contents, and transferred him to the Jalameh investigation center and then to the Negev prison.

The Israeli Court issued an administrative detention order against him, two weeks after his arrest, for 6 months under the pretext that there is a secret file, that it constitutes a danger to Israel.

A few days before the end of his detention, the administrative detention was renewed for the second time for 4 new months, and then it was renewed today for the third time so that he spent 10 months so far in the arbitrary administration.

Al-Atoum is an ex-prisoner, who was previously arrested several times and spent 6 years in the Israeli prisons, most of which were under administrative detention.
