"We presented a list entitled (Al-Quds Our Destination) and we were keen to title our list with Jerusalem to be our slogan," al-Hayya told journalists after submitting Hamas’ list.

Al-Hayya affirmed that Hamas movement is committed to the legal procedures stipulated in the election law, and said, "We hope that the elections will be a gateway to rearrange our Palestinian home and arrange our reality so that we can all rise to face the challenges."

He indicated that his movement was hoping to form a unified list with the whole Palestinian factions, but it seems that the chances of its formation have become difficult and far-reaching.

Regarding the integrity of the Palestinian judiciary, al-Hayya said, "We are proud of the Palestinian judiciary and our judges are trustworthy, especially the specialists in the election court."

"We support them and call on them not to respond to any political pressure and not to politicize any case against any candidate or list," al-Hayya added.

"Our people and our lists have the right to compete with honor, and we warn against politicizing any judicial dimension of the electoral process," said al-Hayya.
Regarding the participation of the prisoners in the elections, Al-Hayya stated that “the Palestinian prisoners are a national issue and they are one of our constants and priorities and we were keen for them to be on our lists, such as the prisoner, Nael Al-Barghouti, Jamal Abu Al-Hija, and Hassan Salameh from Gaza."

Jerusalem is Our Date list includes dozens of women leaders and injuries. Besides, the tribal diversity from the Palestinian people was taken into accounts in managing Hamas list.

For his part, the leader of the movement in the West Bank, Jamal al-Tawil, said that the list was presented simultaneously between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and the list number is 10.

Al-Tawil expressed his hope that the institutions of the Palestinian people would be built on foundations of partnership and democracy, and that it would be suitable for the people's unity between the two wings of the homeland and restoring cohesion so that Jerusalem would be the compass for everyone.

He stressed the movement’s keenness to include the list with the various competencies needed by the Palestinian people, especially the prisoners, in fulfillment of their sacrifices, in addition to various segments of the Palestinian people.

Al-Tawil said about postponing the elections: “We see that the elections have started and there is no need to delay them. We also see that all Palestinian components are now supportive and they have a determination to continue. Besides, there can be no one who takes a political suicide step to postpone or cancel the elections, especially since 93% of our people have registered in the elections, and the opinion polls indicate that a high percentage want to participate in the elections."

In her turn, Lama Khater said that the next stage must be a foundation for a new phase raised by the foundations of true consensus and partnership, which we hope to see embodied on the ground and not only through political decrees.

Khater emphasized that the elections should be run based on adhering to the fundamentals so that eyes would remain fixed on the main goal, which is Jerusalem, which is part of the identity of every Palestinian.

Khater hoped that the participation of all Palestinian factions would be the beginning of the establishment of a Palestinian consensus program that respects the principles and strives to achieve the main goal, which is to get rid of the occupation, fight corruption, and serve the people, especially the vital sectors, in light of the difficult condition that the Palestinian people suffer at all levels of national, life, and service, meaning that the next stage will be a working stage.

Solidarity of all Palestinians with a true and sincere will and the rules of consensus agreed upon by the Palestinian factions are all that required to continue this partnership, in the hope of building a strong political system based on constants and a liberation program capable of achieving the Palestinian goals that everyone aspires to.

Khater explained that the rate of women's participation in the list reached 30%.

For his part, the movement’s spokesperson, Fawzi Barhoum, said in a statement received by Safa “Today we meet again with our people and communicate with the sons of our Arab and Islamic nation at a decisive historical moment in the history of the Palestinian people.”

Al-Quds Our Destination is a name that carries strategic national connotations in emphasizing the importance of the Palestinian cause and in the context of a state of permanent mobility that does not stop unless Jerusalem is liberated from the Zionist enemy, said Barhoum.

He stressed that the name and slogan of the list, "Al-Quds Our Destination", is an assertion that no matter how great the plots are, they will not break the will of the Palestinian people and nothing will change the truth and we will continue our struggle and resistance journey until the liberation of Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa.
