The UN failed to protect the Palestinians, says Hamas

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said on Thursday on the 75th anniversary of the United Nations that the UN failed to protect the Palestinians from all forms of terrorism practiced against them on a daily basis for more than 72 years or help them restore their rights to liberation, independence, and self-determination, which is part of one of its long-standing principles.

"During the official commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, which was commenced on Monday, world leaders gave speeches about the great achievements and future challenges posed to the international body," the movement added. "They were right about the UN’s prominent role in maintaining international peace and security in several parts around the globe and contributions to directing the international compass towards several challenges that pose a real threat to the entire human race."

"However, no one, unfortunately, addressed the catastrophic failure of the international body formed in the 1945 San Francisco Conference to replace the rule of force with the rule of law. But, it seems that this rule does not apply to the Israeli occupation," it confirmed.

Furthermore, Hamas stressed that Palestinians hope that the UN, as per its foundational principles, seriously help them restore their rights to freedom and independence and end the ongoing Israeli aggression against them as it is one of the major reasons behind the failure to bring about international peace and security.

It also hopes that peace and prosperity will prevail around the globe and the dreams of all humanity to eradicate poverty, unemployment, racism, and illiteracy come true
