The electoral list of Hamas "Al-Quds Our Destination, received an official response from the Palestinian Central Elections Committee refusing the objections lodged against it.

The Head of the electoral campaign of Hamas,  Mohammed Al-Madhoun, said that they appreciate the committee's attitude in dealing with those objections regarding the law.

 "The committee's position on those objects proved that the validity of our candidates' documentation, and our commitment to law and conditions for running for the elections," Al-Madhoun said.

Al-Madhoun said that Hamas's electoral list did not submit any objections against any lists running for the first level of the Palestinian National Council's Elections.

"Hamas believes in the significance of providing a competitive environment between the Palestinians and respects all candidates," Al-Madhoun mentioned.

 He confirmed that conducting the elections is the way to Palestinian unity and mutual work, and pointed out that they work hard to win the elections.

Al-Madhoun emphasized the importance of conducting the elections in the Palestinian territories, especially Jerusalem.

"Hamas never gives up on the conduct of elections in Jerusalem," He said.

He eventually stated that Israel is not allowed to determine our relationship with Jerusalem; the elections must be conducted in Jerusalem despite the Israeli occupation.
