The Secretary-General of the Islamic Christian Organization for Supporting Jerusalem and the Holy Places, Hanna Issa, said on Sunday that Israel has no right to initiate activities of a sovereign nature that would lead to change Jerusalem status as occupied land."
He added in a statement received by Safa on Sunday that the construction of the annexation Wall annexed large parts of the occupied Palestinian territories in 1967 by Israel.
This contradicts the basic principle of international law that territories should not be annexed by force.
"Israel is obligated to put an end to its violations of international law, and according to the fatwa submitted by the court, it is obligated to immediately stop the ongoing construction of the wall in the Palestinian territories," said Issa.
He stressed that Israel is obligated to immediately dismantle the constructions built around the wall, and to immediately cancel or dismantle all legislative and regulatory measures related to it in accordance with Article 151 of the advisory opinion.
Issa added, "The Segregation Wall violates human rights, especially the right to self-determination, the right to work, the right to education, the right to health, the right to enjoy an adequate standard of living, the right to freedom of movement, etc."
