Israel arrests 30 Jerusalemites since begging of Ramadan


The lawyer for the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, Firas al-Jabrini, stated that since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Israeli forces have arrested about 30 Jerusalemites, half of whom are boys.

Al-Jabrini explained that most of the detainees were beaten by the Israeli police, and they showed signs of assault.

Bab al-Amoud in Jerusalem witnessed on Sunday evening a state of alert among the ranks of the Israeli forces and it spread extensively in the city’s streets.

Young men were bruised and suffocated with pepper gas during the clashes that broke out in Bab al-Amoud in Jerusalem, for the sixth consecutive day of the holy month of Ramadan.

Besides, since the beginning of the holy month, Jerusalem has witnessed an unprecedented and fierce Israeli attack, targeting Jerusalemites either by being pursued and arrested at times, or by physical assault with beatings, repression, and the throwing of bombs and rubber bullets in the city’s streets and at its gates, and being prevented from sitting at the Damascus Gate at other times.

The streets of the Old City, Every evening, turn into an open field of confrontation between Palestinian youths, the Israeli police, special forces, and cavalry teams, which pursue these young men and beat them brutally, especially at the Damascus Gate and al-Sahira.
