A coalition of 25 countries, including the United Kingdom, has issued a strong joint condemnation of Israel’s policies of starvation and forced displacement against Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The statement calls urgently for the immediate lifting of restrictions on humanitarian aid and an end to the ongoing war that is devastating the region.
The countries warned that attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians violate international humanitarian law and condemned delays in aid deliveries, which have contributed to a mounting civilian death toll, especially among children. They rejected plans to relocate Palestinians to so-called “humanitarian cities,” describing such proposals as unacceptable.
Expressing support for mediation efforts by the US, Qatar, and Egypt, the statement stressed the need for a comprehensive ceasefire to halt the suffering. It also condemned the killing of over 800 Palestinians attempting to access food aid, highlighting that the current Israeli-controlled aid distribution system fuels further instability and deepens Gaza’s unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
The signatories reaffirmed their opposition to Israeli settlement expansion, particularly the “E1” plan, which threatens to fracture any future Palestinian state and undermine the prospect of a two-state solution. Their collective message is clear: the international community must act decisively to uphold Palestinian rights and end the engineered starvation and displacement in Gaza.
