The Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Committee said on Tuesday that the health condition of the prisoner, Nour Al-Baitawi, is stabilizing and improving, and he is currently in the Ramla hospital.
The committee stated in a statement that reached Safa that the Israeli forces had arrested Al-Baitawi from his home in Jenin camp, after shooting live bullets at him and wounding him directly in the abdomen, and then he was transferred to the Israeli Emek Medical Center in Afula, and there he underwent surgery and removed parts from his intestines.
The place of the operation is still open and bandages are applied daily until the wound is healed, and he is also provided with painkillers and blood thinners.
The committee indicated that the prisoner Al-Baitawi stayed for a period in the intensive care in the Emek Medical Center due to the difficulty of his condition at that time and recently he was transferred to the Ramla hospital and at present, he can walk on his feet without the need for a wheelchair and his condition is gradually improving.
The prisoner Al-Baitawi has been detained since February 8, 2021, and he is still being held until now and he has a trial session tomorrow Wednesday.
