Israel arrests political activist in Haifa

The Israeli police on Wednesday arrested the political activist, Yoav Haifawi, after raiding his house in the Al-Halisa neighborhood of Haifa, in the occupied territories in 1948.

Members of the Israeli police stormed the home of the activist in the Haifa movement after they broke one of its doors and tampered with its contents.

A statement issued by the Haifa Movement stated that "a force of the Israeli intelligence and police stormed the house of Yoav Haifa, 66, an activist in the Haifa movement, after breaking the gate of the house and tampering with the contents of the house, before he was arrested."

This raid, sabotage, and arrest operation is nothing but a link in a series of intimidation attempts that will not stop the Palestinian people and their national forces.

The arrest is a continuation of frantic attempts by the Shin Bet to silence the free patriotic voice in Palestine. These attempts were broken over the years of the occupation, and the recent wave of arrests will not be an exception.
