Detainees Commission warns of the worsening of Palestinian prisoner's health condition

Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission warned on Sunday of the worsening of Ahmed Khaseeb's health situation, a 25-Palestinian-prisoner, as he suffers from thalassemia.

"Ahmed was arrested at the beginning of April from his house in the day he was supposed to have his blood dose, which he receives every 21 days," the Commission said to Safa.

More than a month and a half passed since he last received his blood dose. This puts him at the risk of happening health complications.

The Israeli authorities arrest Ahmed in Ofer prison in Ramallah and sentenced him to 4 months of administrative detention.

The Commission confirmed that there is a specific protocol to treat those who suffer from thalassemia; to receive the medicine and blood doses regularly, and called on the international community and organizations of human rights to intervene and save the life of Ahmed Khaseeb.
