Former Algerian Foreign Minister, Lakhdar Brahimi, handed over a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres which was signed by a group of Arab figures supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance, using all legitimate means against the apartheid they live and theft of their rights, dignity, and land.
"The letter aimed to internationalize the Palestinian cause, garner support for the Palestinian rights, and stop Israeli apartheid," said Brahimi
Brahimi wished that "this letter would be the start of continuous Arab and international effort aiming to end the Israeli occupation."
He noted that the support for the Palestinian cause is spread across Africa, America, and Asia.
It is worth noting that similar letters were delivered to each of the President of the General Assembly, the President of the Security Council, the President of the Human Rights Council, and the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations. Other letters will be delivered to the Arab League, the African Union, and the European Union.
