Palestinian prisoner continues his hunger strike for the 17th day in a row

Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) reported on Friday that the prisoner Al-Ghadanfar Abu Atwan, 28, from the town of Dura in the Hebron district, is continuing his open hunger strike for the 17th consecutive day, to reject his administrative detention.

PPS stated that Abu Atwan has been detained since October 2020, and he is a former prisoner who has been arrested several times since 2013, and during 2019 he went on a hunger strike to reject his administrative detention.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli occupation authorities are still incarcerating more than 4,500 Palestinian and Arab prisoners for resisting the occupation of their homeland. Many of these prisoners have been in prison for more than 25 years.
