Two young Jordanians accused of planning to attack Israelis in Haifa

The Israeli Public Prosecution has submitted to the Israeli Magistrate's Court in Haifa, a public prosecution statement against two Jordanian young men, in preparation for filing an indictment against them in the coming days.

The Israeli Prosecution accused the two young men of plotting to carry out a commando operation after they crossed the border on May 11, against the impact of protests in Palestine and abroad in support of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa, and the Gaza Strip.

The Arab 48 website reported that the Israeli forces prevented the detainees from meeting a lawyer throughout the detention period, and the sessions were closed to the public and the media.

The Israeli authorities announced the arrest of the two young men on May 16, and claimed that “they crossed the border from Jordan aiming to reach Jerusalem and they had knives in their possession."
