Israeli forces demolished 450 Palestinian structures, displacing 530 families, in the first nine months of the year, according to a report issued by the Land Research Center of the Arab Studies Association.

The report stated that the Israeli authorities forced some Palestinians to self-demolish their homes in Jerusalem, where 80 homes and facilities were forcibly demolished.

It pointed out that the total number of Palestinian homes demolished by the Israeli authorities since the "establishment of Israel" amounted to about 165,690 homes, displacing around one million Palestinians.

It stressed that the Israeli policy which besieges Palestinian construction, especially in Jerusalem, forced many people to build without a permit or leave to the governorates of the West Bank.

Due to Israeli demolitions policy, the Jerusalemites alone need about 25 thousand housing units to cover their urgent needs.
