Haniyeh: Hamas committed to Palestinians' legitimate right to return

Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh stressed that his movement is committed to the right of Palestinian refugees to their homeland from which they were forced out.

"The return of seven million Palestinian refugees to their towns and villages in Palestine is a legitimate right that we will never abandon or waive at any cost," Haniyeh said in a popular meeting in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

"We will protect and preserve the constants of the Palestinian people until the liberation of Palestinian," Haniyeh added.

Calling for granting Lebanon's Palestinian refugees their civil and social rights and reconstructing Nahr al-Bared refugee camp, Haniyeh stressed: "The Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon will remain a symbol of the Palestinian steadfastness."

The chief of Hamas politburo affirmed that the "Sword of Al-Quds" battle unified the Palestinian people at home and abroad behind the option of resistance.

Haniyeh concluded that the Palestinian resistance has several powerful cards capable of deterring the Israeli occupation and putting an end to its crimes against the Palestinian people.
