Masses of Palestinians protested Saturday evening at the Al-Manara in the center of Ramallah city, condemning the Palestinian Authority's assassination of political opponent Nizar Banat.

Participants raised the Palestinian flag and pictures of Nizar Banat, chanting slogans calling for President Mahmoud Abbas to step out.

The chants included "Listen, listen, Abbas. Our dignity is not trampled upon", "We are the voice of the oppressed", "We want freedom", and "Leave, leave, Abbas!"
