Dozens of activists participated in a sit-in Thursday in front of the house of political opponent Nizar Banat, who was killed by Palestinian Authority security forces a month ago in Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.
Among the participants, there was the prominent leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement in the occupied West Bank, Khader Adnan, as he delivered a speech in which he denounced the PA's assassination of Banat.
The participants demanded the holding of legislative elections and the departure of Abbas, chanting slogans condemning the PA's actions.
It should be noted that the PA assassinated Banat on June 24, after the security forces kidnapped him in Hebron. Several international bodies and UN institutions condemned the assassination.
