UNSC discusses Israeli violations and settlers' attacks

UN Security Council discusses Wednesday the violations of the Israeli occupation and the attacks of its settlers in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

UNSC holds its session at the request of the State of Palestine. It also discusses the ongoing Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, in addition to the suffering of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, said in a previous statement that a letter was sent to the President of the Security Council, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and the President of the General Assembly regarding violations of the occupation.

Mansour stated that the letter called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian cause and to pressure the occupation authorities to respect the law in the Palestinian land.
