The Israeli occupation authorities on Wednesday released 531 prisoners, including 120 security detainees and 411 civilian prisoners after activating a resolution stipulates that a specific period is deducted from the prisoner's sentence.
The Prisoners and ex-prisoners stated in a statement reached Safa that the release of 17 detainees has been delayed, due to the presence of fines imposed on them and that they will be released after the prison administration receives the payment receipts.
The committee indicated that among the released were dozens of those who were arrested during the events of the city of Lod inside the occupied city about two months ago, which erupted in protest against the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and the Israeli forces' assault on worshipers and sit-ins in Sheikh Jarrah and the Damascus Gate in the occupied city.
