Israeli settlers today attacked Palestinian homes in a northern West Bank town but were pushed back, according to Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the area.

He said settlers from the illegal Yitzhar settlement attacked homes located in the south of Assira al-Qiblya town, south of Nablus.

Palestinian residents, he said, confronted the settlers and forced them to leave the area.

Israeli soldiers intervened to protect the settlers and attacked the Palestinian civilians. No one was hurt.
