Six Palestinians detainees continue their open hunger strike

Six Palestinian administrative detainees held in Israeli occupation prisons without charge or trial are continuing in their hunger strike demanding their freedom.

Two of the Palestinian detainees have been on hunger stike for over 60 days, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Committee.

It said Kayed Fasfous has been on hunger strike for 68 days in a row, followed by Mikdad Qawasme, 61 days, Alaa Araj, 43 days, Hisham Abu Hawwash, 35 days, Rayiq Bisharat, 30 days, and Shadi Abu Aker, 27 days.

The Committee said Fasfous, Qawasme and Araj are currently at Ramla prison clinic following a deterioration in their health due to their long hunger strike and can only move on a wheelchair.

There are currently 520 Palestinian administrative detainees in Israeli jails.
