The administration of Gilboa jail violates the Palestinian detainees' rights, especially the right to health, as with the detainee Emad Kamil whose health is deteriorating and could not get the medical treatment he needs, according to the Detainees and Ex- Detainees Affairs Committee.

The committee said in a statement that Kamil suffers from several chronic health problems; however, the jail's adminstration doesn't provide him the treatment and it just gives him painkillers.

Adding to his diseases, he urgently needs an operation, but the administration keeps procrastinating.

Kamil, 55, from the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, has been detained for 22 years and sentenced to life imprisonment. He has been subjected to the worst forms of torture and physical and psychological abuse.
