Recent reports from Hebrew media have revealed new information about a significant security incident involving Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza. The event, which took place in the Jabalia Camp, resulted in the deaths and injuries of several Israeli soldiers.
The Hebrew website Shetah Ish reported that the incident was intense, with Palestinian fighters opening fire on a military vehicle carrying Israeli soldiers, resulting in several casualties. Israeli helicopters were deployed to evacuate the injured soldiers from the scene.
Another report from Hadashot Hamot confirmed that Palestinian fighters targeted a truck carrying soldiers with a missile. The soldiers were then evacuated by helicopters from Unit 669.
According to Shetah Ash, a military truck loaded with explosives entered Jabalia, possibly intending to attack the camp. A Palestinian fighter shot at the truck, causing it to explode, along with the explosives inside.
The Hebrew media also listed the names of the Israeli soldiers who died in the explosion: Daniel Halpern, Omri Cohen, and Ido Zino.
Israeli radio reported that the military has paid a heavy toll in northern Gaza, with 35 soldiers killed since the beginning of the operation. In addition to the three soldiers killed in Jabalia, 18 others were injured—two critically, four moderately, and twelve with lighter injuries.
Channel 14 also reported that the three soldiers were killed by Palestinian fighters while they were on their way home.
