UNRWA Warns Gaza Hospitals Have Become “Death Traps” Amid Israeli Bombardment

The UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Wednesday that hospitals in the Gaza Strip have turned into "death traps" due to relentless Israeli airstrikes and direct targeting.

In a post on the platform X, UNRWA warned of the dire situation, with families in Gaza overwhelmed by cold and hunger as children succumb to the harsh conditions. The agency called for an immediate ceasefire, noting that three major hospitals in northern Gaza—Kamal Adwan, Beit Hanoun, and the Indonesian Hospital—are now out of service due to the escalation.

These hospitals have been rendered non-operational following repeated bombings, raids, and direct targeting by Israeli forces since 7 October 2023. Despite claims by the Israeli military that resistance groups used the hospitals, no concrete evidence has been presented, and international investigations have refuted these allegations.

The Israeli assault on Gaza, now in its 460th day, continues to inflict mass casualties and devastate civilian infrastructure, with countless war crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
