Civil Defense in Gaza: Searching for 10,000 Bodies Under the Rubble

The Civil Defense in Gaza stated on Monday that it faces "difficult and challenging tasks" in searching for the bodies of over 10,000 victims, believed to still be under the rubble of destroyed homes, buildings, and facilities in the area. These victims' names have not yet been included in the toll provided by the Ministry of Health.

The Civil Defense pointed out that the bodies of 2,840 victims have "vaporized" and no trace of them has been found. This is due to the use of weapons by the Israeli army that produce temperatures between 7000-9000 degrees Celsius, melting everything at the center of the explosion.

Since the start of the Israeli attacks on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Civil Defense has received over half a million distress signals. It noted that around 50,000 of these signals could not be reached due to a lack of fuel or the inability to coordinate field operations and enter areas under severe danger and frequent Israeli attacks.

The Civil Defense reported that its teams have recovered over 38,000 martyrs from homes and buildings targeted by the Israeli army. Additionally, they have rescued nearly 97,000 injured individuals and transferred over 11,000 sick patients to hospitals.
