Is There Freedom of Movement in Both Directions?

Hamas announced that the return of displaced residents to northern Gaza will begin on Saturday after the release of prisoners. Pedestrians will return via Al-Rashid Street without inspection, while vehicles (including tuk-tuks and animal-drawn carts) will return via Salah Al-Din Street with X-ray inspections under the supervision of an Egyptian-Qatari committee.

These arrangements will remain in effect until the 22nd day, after which free movement in both directions will be allowed without inspection.

Additionally, Hamas confirmed that the second batch of the prisoner exchange deal will take place on Saturday. This includes the release of 120 prisoners serving life sentences and 80 prisoners with high sentences in exchange for 4 captured Israeli soldiers.

The ceasefire came into effect on Sunday, ending 471 days of Israeli aggression.

The agreement includes three phases, each lasting 42 days, with a cessation of military operations, the withdrawal of occupation forces, and the reopening of the Rafah crossing.
